The Role

The Governance Professional (Clerk to the Board)

 

We are seeking an organised and highly motivated individual to join our school community as The Governance Professional (Clerk to the Board of Governors). The successful candidate will play an essential part in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of meetings, as well as providing guidance on legal and procedural matters to the Board of Governors.

Contract Type:         Part time

Salary:                       Pay Band G, Pt.19 – Pt.24 - £31,067 - £34,314 FTE

Actual Salary:           £3,466 - £3,915 (4.75 hours per week - Term Time Only)

 

Main Responsibilities will be to:


  •  Provide administrative support to the Governing Body and its committees.
  •  Prepare agendas and papers for meetings, taking minutes and circulating them promptly.
  •  Maintain accurate records of meetings and decisions.
  • Ensure that the Governing Body operates in accordance with the legal framework.
  •  Assist in the organisation of governor elections and appointments.
  •  Provide advice and guidance on procedural and governance matters.
